Islamabad, August 26, 2025 — In a landmark decision taken during the Annual General Meeting of the Board of Governors on Tuesday, the Xpertno International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (XIJIR) has been officially transferred under the sole publishing authority of the Xpertno Research Center (SMC Pvt Ltd).

Previously managed collaboratively by the Expert Novice Group Pvt Ltd and Xpertno Research Center (XRC), XIJIR will now be published exclusively by XRC beginning with Volume 3 (September–December 2025 issue). The move is aimed at strengthening governance, ensuring transparency, and aligning with international best practices in scholarly publishing.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Razzaq (Raja Nasir), Director & CEO of Expert Novice Group and XRC, emphasised that the decision reflects a strategic commitment to academic independence:

“This transition empowers XRC as a specialised research entity to take full responsibility for XIJIR. As the parent body, Expert Novice Group will continue to provide institutional support, but the journal’s academic leadership will rest with the Research Center. This is an important step toward securing global recognition for XIJIR and enhancing its credibility with indexing bodies.”

He further added that XIJIR has grown steadily since its inception, with contributors spanning multiple disciplines including social sciences, humanities, linguistics, and education. “By consolidating governance within XRC, we are building a stronger foundation for the journal’s future,” he said.

The editorial team welcomed the decision, noting that the change will not affect the journal’s peer-review system, publication schedule, or open-access policies. Authors and readers can expect continuity in operations alongside a clearer framework for international collaborations.

XRC’s Director also remarked that the Research Center is committed to expanding XIJIR’s reach:

“Our vision is to provide a free and fair platform for interdisciplinary scholarship. This governance shift ensures that XIJIR reflects our mission without ambiguity and positions it for long-term sustainability in the global research landscape.”

The journal will continue to publish three issues annually, with its upcoming September–December 2025 edition marking the beginning of this new phase.
