July 2025 marks a milestone month for the Xpertno International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (XIJIR), as the journal reinforces its editorial and review structure through a strategic series of appointments, reappointments, and expansions aimed at solidifying its global scholarly impact.

Editorial Expansion to Support Global Research Excellence

In the first ten days of July 2025, the Xpertno International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (XIJIR) initiated a wide-scale strengthening of its editorial board, marking a historic development in its growth trajectory. The journal’s leadership, under the Xpertno Research Center (XRC), began issuing appointment and reappointment letters to esteemed scholars across various disciplines, reaffirming its commitment to intellectual rigor and collaborative research.

The Editorial Board, considered the backbone of any academic journal, saw the addition of new members from diverse geographies and research backgrounds. Simultaneously, XIJIR renewed the terms of several accomplished board members whose previous tenure had concluded on June 30, 2025. These reappointments reflect not only XIJIR's confidence in their continuing contributions but also the consistency the journal seeks in maintaining a high standard of peer review and editorial oversight.

Reappointment of Distinguished Board Members

Among those reappointed are notable scholars who served the journal from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2025. Their work over the past two years has been instrumental in guiding the journal’s strategic direction, reviewing high-quality submissions, and mentoring emerging researchers. As a result of a comprehensive annual board review and formal approval in the editorial board meeting held in early July, these individuals were offered renewed terms for the next three years, effective July 1, 2025, until June 30, 2028.

The reappointment process was handled with both formality and mutual respect. Each member received an official letter signed and certified by the RICE (Research Impact and Citation Enhancement) Department of the Xpertno Research Center. The certificates not only validate their academic roles but also serve as tangible proof of their continued dedication to interdisciplinary scholarship.

Appointment of New Members and Reviewers

In addition to reappointments, several new scholars were brought into the fold as Distinguished Members of the Editorial Board. These appointments are entirely voluntary and non-remunerated, rooted in a shared commitment to academic ethics, transparent peer review, and scholarly mentorship. Many of the appointees bring with them a rich portfolio of international teaching, editorial, and research experience, significantly enriching the diversity and expertise of the XIJIR editorial team.

Moreover, to support the ever-expanding volume of submissions, the journal also added a significant number of peer reviewers in July. This expansion will allow for more efficient turnaround times, diversified subject expertise, and increased feedback quality for authors.

Commenting on the editorial developments, Raja Nasir Razzaq, Founding and Managing Editor of XIJIR and Director & CEO of the Expert Novice Group, shared:

“These appointments are not just procedural—they are a strategic investment in our journal’s future. By bringing together seasoned scholars and rising intellectuals, XIJIR aims to lead not only in publishing interdisciplinary research but also in cultivating an ecosystem of collaborative innovation. This cycle’s reappointments show that consistent excellence earns sustained trust. At the same time, new appointments help us stay dynamic and forward-thinking.”

Nasir also emphasized the journal’s commitment to equitable access and global representation. He added:

“We aim for balanced representation across disciplines, regions, and academic traditions. Our editorial board is a reflection of our global outreach and ethical publishing vision. Everyone on board is here because of merit, dedication, and the impact they are willing to make—not because of institutional pressure or political standing. That’s what sets XIJIR apart.”

Dr. Salma, Chief Editor of XIJIR and Assistant Professor at Air University, Islamabad, also weighed in on the strategic importance of this expansion:

“Editorial boards are not symbolic—they are functional units that either make or break a journal’s trajectory. Our members are expected to engage with content, provide thoughtful reviews, recommend scholars, and participate in periodic consultations. This isn’t a vanity position—it’s a scholarly responsibility.”

She further highlighted that appointments were only made after careful discussions, background reviews, and recommendations. The approval of all names was finalized during the annual editorial board meeting, ensuring transparency and consensus.

Dr. Ansari, the head of the RICE Department, encouraged all board members to take pride in their appointments and reappointments, urging them to share this milestone with their academic networks. “Such recognition should be celebrated,” she said. “We recommend members add their certificates to their institutional profiles, share the news on academic platforms, and continue representing XIJIR with integrity.”

Encouraging Scholarly Visibility and Public Sharing

The journal has explicitly encouraged newly appointed and reappointed board members to share their certificates and appointment news across academic platforms. This enhances the visibility of XIJIR and contributes to each scholar’s academic credibility.

“In today’s digital academic landscape, visibility is influence,” says Raja Nasir. “We want our board members to be known as people who shape the future of interdisciplinary research. Sharing your XIJIR affiliation proudly affirms that commitment.”

A Call for Future Collaborations

Looking ahead, XIJIR plans to initiate several calls for special issues, guest editor collaborations, and inter-university research linkages. The newly appointed board members are expected to contribute by recommending reviewers, coordinating special editions, and nominating exceptional researchers from their networks.

The editorial team is also in the process of formalizing new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manuscript handling, ethical disclosures, and AI-integrated peer review to keep up with evolving academic publishing trends.

As the academic landscape continues to evolve, XIJIR remains rooted in its core philosophy: to be a platform for serious, ethical, interdisciplinary research that contributes meaningfully to global scholarship. This round of appointments is not the end—it’s just the beginning of the journal’s next chapter.

Scholars who have received their certificates are reminded to acknowledge the official email and confirm their willingness to serve. XIJIR looks forward to a productive, innovative, and inspiring term ahead.
