In another important development, the Scholarly Entity International Persistent Identifier (SEIPID) has successfully completed its initial registration phase, marking a significant step in the platform’s growth and operational journey. Following this milestone, new registrations will remain closed for the rest of the year as the platform shifts its focus toward stability, quality assurance, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Announcing this update, the Acting CEO of Expert Novice Group stated:

“The successful completion of SEIPID’s initial registration phase reflects the growing interest in accessible, innovative, and reliable scholarly infrastructure. At this stage, our priority is not expansion in numbers, but strengthening the system, ensuring compliance, and building a more sustainable foundation for the future. Therefore, new registrations will remain closed for the rest of the year.”

She further emphasized that the next phase will focus on strengthening internal systems and ensuring that all registered entities meet the required standards of participation and maintenance.

Strengthening Compliance and System Integrity

As part of this transition, SEIPID is also adopting stricter compliance measures. Editors, publishers, or registrants who have not properly completed or maintained their registrations may face account removal as part of the platform’s quality-control process.

Anmol Husain remarked:

“Registration is not merely an entry in the system; it carries responsibility. Every registered entity must ensure that its information is properly maintained and aligned with the platform’s requirements. We are committed to preserving the integrity and efficiency of the SEIPID ecosystem.”

This move is intended to ensure that the platform remains organized, reliable, and beneficial for all stakeholders involved in scholarly communication and publishing.

Current Focus of SEIPID

With new registrations paused for the remainder of the year, SEIPID will now concentrate on several key priorities, including

  • enhancing platform stability and user experience
  • strengthening quality assurance and compliance procedures
  • improving backend systems for smoother and more efficient operations
  • preparing the foundation for future development and expansion

Technical support and guidance, however, will continue to remain available for existing registered users where needed.

Looking Ahead

SEIPID’s initial progress reflects a promising response to the need for more accessible and structured scholarly infrastructure. As the platform enters its next stage, the emphasis will remain on sustainability, efficiency, and responsible growth rather than rapid expansion.

The decision to keep new registrations closed for the rest of the year is part of a broader effort to consolidate the system and ensure that all existing records and entities are properly managed before any future reopening.

SEIPID is expected to review its position on new registrations next year, depending on system performance, compliance outcomes, and overall operational readiness.

For further updates, registered users are encouraged to follow official announcements from SEIPID and the Expert Novice Group.
