Dr. Fatmir Shehu, an Albanian scholar, is an Associate Professor at IIUM's Department of Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion. He is currently involved in Erasmus Research on environmental and peace education (2023-2026) and serves as Editor-In-Chief of Al-Itqān: Journal of Islamic Sciences and Comparative Studies (2024-2025). With a Ph.D. on inter-religious dialogue, he has supervised numerous M.A. and Ph.D. students and published extensively, including 36 articles, 6 books, and 9 book chapters. (Speaker of all Sessions)

He has a particular interest in the works of Arnold Toynbee and Ibn Khaldun, exploring their insights into civilization and history. Dr. Muzaffar is also the author of the motivational book Journey to Brilliance: Embracing Growth, Success, and Empowerment, and he frequently delivers workshops and lectures on personal development, integrating Islamic teachings to inspire growth and self-improvement.
